Are you in need of some holiday cheer? Mark can fill your cup up both literally and figuratively at Amsterdam Tea Room. It is hard not to feel good when talking to this man. His energy is magnetic and his dimpled smile is contagious.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, his original dream was to open a bar in his home country. But with a recession in Scotland and an oversaturated market, he decided to look abroad. Having spent much time in Winnipeg visiting family growing up, this city seemed like it would be the perfect fit. He loved it here. The best part? The amazingly supportive community. To Mark, Winnipeg feels more like a giant town than a city. In a sense, it feels like Glasgow did to him. It truly is his second home.
If you haven’t yet been to Amsterdam Tea Room, you should definitely check it out. While the name may fool you, the menu is rife with incredible Dutch-inspired dishes. And of course there is tea. Feeling like something a bit stronger? Try some of their impressive tea cocktails. Amsterdam Tea Room truly does have a dish and a drink for everyone.
